NORMAN, Okla. - University of Oklahoma golfer Lisa Meldrum was honored as a second-team All-Big 12 member today. The league's head coaches voted on the all-conference teams. The honor comes a week after Meldrum was named to the first-team Academic All-Big 12 squad.

This marks Meldrum's third straight year to receive a Big 12 Conference postseason award. In 2002, she was honored as a first team all-conference member. Meldrum was also named the 2001 Big 12 Newcomer of the Year.

Meldrum, a junior, has led the Sooners virtually all season. Her current stroke average (75.0) is the lowest on the team and ranks sixth in the Big 12 Conference. From Montreal, Quebec, Meldrum has recorded four top-five and seven top-15 finishes this season. She tied for first last fall at the Dick McGuire Invitational.

Members of the first-team all-conference squad include Big 12 Player of the Year Sarah Sasse (Nebraska) and Big 12 Newcomer of the Year Karin Sjodin (Oklahoma State). Texas' Susan Watkins won Big 12 Coach of the Year honors.
