OU claimed the fifth national title in the program's history and became the second Sooner team to repeat (1997& 1978) as National Champions.

OU is the second team to finish an entire season with a perfect record (26-0). The other team to finish an entire season undefeated was Ohio State in 1996.

OU broke the school vault record with a score of 37.425 (previously at 37.400) despite the fact that senior Shannon Carrion was scratched from the lineup due back spasms.

MPSF Vault Champion Jock Stevens tied his own school vault record (shared with Daniel Furney) with a score of 9.7.

Mark Williams is now 93-7 as head coach of Oklahoma. He has the highest active winning percentage (93 percent) of any coach in the NCAA and also reached 90 wins faster than any coach in NCAA history.

Williams is also the first coach in NCAA history to win back-to-back titles in his first four years as a head coach.

Despite counting a fall on floor, the Sooners posted their second highest floor score (36.225) in the last seven meets.

Nissen Emery Award winner Daniel Furney took the all-around title with a score of 56.100, becoming the 14th gymnast in Oklahoma history to win an individual national title. Furney is the just the second Sooner to win the NCAA All-Around Championship. Furney also won the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Conference all-around title.

Oklahoma's team score of 222.600 is the second highest under the current scoring system. OU holds the highest all-time mark at 223.500.

OU broke the school parallel bars record with a score of 37.00. It was previously set at 36.500, which OU accomplished against Ohio State and Stanford March 7, 2003.

OU was in fifth place after the first rotation, marking just the third time that OU has trailed all season. The Sooner took the lead for good following the second rotation.
