Norman, Okla. - Oklahoma's football team spent Thursday making final tune-ups before the Red/White Spring Game. The Sooners will tee it up at 1:30 p.m., Saturday in the annual event that ends the spring practice session.

OU head coach Bob Stoops said Thursday that the game will consist of a 15-minute first quarter, then 12-minute periods for each of the final three.

He also said that QB Jason White likely will play in the opening frame. White sat out last Saturday's scrimmage with a fatigued knee and there had been some question about his availability for this week, but the coach confirmed his status Thursday.

Thursday's workout was in shoulder pads and shorts. Stoops termed it a "solid" practice. "We were kind of like a basketball team with no shoes just sliding around in pads and shorts, but it was good," he said.

Tickets are being sold in advance of the spring game. Tickets purchased prior to game day are just $5 each for adults, $2 for youth in grades K-12. On game day, adult tickets are $10 and youth tickets are $5. OU students with a current ID and anyone age five or younger will be admitted at no charge.

Tickets are available from the ticket office located in the Asp Avenue Parking Facility on the west side of Memorial Stadium. Phone orders can be placed at 405/325-2424 and at 1-800-456-GoOU. Also, online orders can be placed at www.SoonerSports.com.
