Women's Golf Team In Fourth At Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational

NORMAN, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma women's golf team recorded the fourth-best round of the day at the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational and is in fourth place after two rounds. The Sooners shot a second-round score of 323 for a total of 635 to put them 35 strokes behind first-place Oklahoma State.
Freshman Amparo Gala continues to lead the Sooner squad. Gala carded a second-round 81 for a total of 155 and is tied for 11th place. Junior Hope Edge is tied for 20th with a two-round score of 160 after shooting an 84 today. Senior Allison Johnson recorded a 79 to bring her two-round total to 161 and tie her for 22nd while junior Lisa Meldrum is also tied for 22nd after carding an 81 today. Sophomore Emily Milberger is tied for 38th after recording a second-round 82 for a total of 166. Freshman Cathryn Uselton is competing as an individual and is tied for 61st after shooting an 84 today, 7 strokes better than her Sunday round.
The 12-team field played at the 6,247-yard, par-72 Hills Country Club in Austin, Texas. The final 18 holes of the tournament will be played Tuesday with a 7:30 a.m. start.
