OU Women's Golf Finishes 16th At Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge

NORMAN, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma women's golf team finished in 16th place at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge after today's third-round was cancelled due to rain. The Sooners finished with a two-round score of 642.

The 18-team field played at the 5,912-yard, par-71 Palos Verdes Golf Club in Palos Verdes, Calif. The tournament featured 14 of the teams ranked in the latest Golfweek Top 25 poll. Tournament champion, Pepperdine, finished with a total of 314.

Senior Allison Johnson finished tied for fifth place with a total of 149. Junior Lisa Meldrum tied for 67th place with a score of 164. Junior Hope Edge shot a two-round score of 167 and tied for 75th place while sophomore Emily Milberger also tied for 75th. Playing in her first collegiate tournament, freshman Amparo Gala finished tied for 80th with a total of 169.

The Sooners will return to action Feb. 28 at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic.
