Women's Golfers In 16th Place At Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge

NORMAN, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma women's golf team is in 16th place at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge after recording a second-round score of 342 today for a total of 642 in Palos Verdes, Calif.
The 18-team field is playing at the 5,912-yard, par-71 Palos Verdes Golf Club in Palos Verdes, Calif. The tournament features 14 of the teams ranked in the latest Golfweek Top 25 poll. In addition, 17 of the teams competed in the 2002 NCAA Tournament.
Senior Allison Johnson continued her strong play and is tied for fifth place after carding a second-round 78 for a total of 149. Junior Lisa Meldrum is tied for 67th place with a score of 164 after recording a 90 today. Junior Hope Edge shot an 84 for a two-round score of 167 and is tied for 75th place while sophomore Emily Milberger is also tied for 75th after recording a second-round 90. Freshman Amparo Gala is tied for 80th with a total of 169 after carding a 91 today.
The tournament will conclude Wednesday with an 8:30 a.m. (PST) shotgun start.
