Oklahoma running back Renaldo Works has been named a second-team Academic All-American by the College Sports Information Directors of America.  It is the second major academic decoration for Works, who will be headed to New York in January as one of 14 National Football Foundation Scholar-Athletes.

Works, Oklahoma's second leading rusher with 710 yards, carries a 3.48 grade point average in Management Information Systems.   Earlier, he was named a first-team All-Big 12 Academic selection.

Works exceeded 80 rushing yards in five games, including 130 at Colorado, 112 vs. Texas and 103 vs. Oklahoma State.  He missed A&M and Baylor games with bruised back.

He is a senior from Tulsa.
