Norman - The Oklahoma soccer team dropped their second Big 12 loss of the season in a 2-1 double overtime loss to Nebraska in Lincoln on Friday night.
Becky Nelson scored the Sooners' lone goal on the night, her fourth of the season. The goal was unassisted as Nelson made her way dribbling through the defense before putting the ball into back of the net in the 58th minute.
A penalty at the 70:26 mark by Lindsey Ingram allowed NU to tie the game to force extra sessions.
Jessie Bruch for Nebraska scored the game-winning goal in the 104th minute. Sooner goalkeeper Catherine Wade recorded a season-high 18 saves in the loss.
The loss drops OU to 7-4-2 overall and 2-2-1 in the Big 12 and NU improves to 9-3-1 on the season and 4-1-0 in conference action. OU will return to action on Sunday at John Crain Field in Norman against No. 12 Colorado at 1 p.m.
