Norman, Okla. - Cornerback Andre Woolfolk, the only senior starter on the 2002 Oklahoma defense, will represent the Sooners in the 2003 Senior Bowl. The game, which will be televised by ESPN, will be played Jan. 18 at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Ala. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m., CST.
Woolfolk is one of three Sooners currently confirmed for post-season play. Nate Hybl and Antwone Savage will play in the Rotary Gridiron Classic.
Woolfolk, who will be listed on the South team's roster, finished the season with two interceptions, one against Texas and another against Washington State in the Rose Bowl. He blocked field goal attempts against Alabama, Colorado and Washington State and also logged 26 tackles, four tackles for loss, two forced fumbles and five passes broken up.
The Denver, Colo., native played his first season at OU as a receiver before playing on both sides of the ball as a sophomore and junior. He played solely defense in 2002.
