Hybl, Savage To Play In Rotary Gridiron Classic

Oklahoma's Nate Hybl and Antwone Savage will play in this year's Rotary Gridiron Classic College All-Star Game. The rosters were announced Wednesday by Florida Citrus . The fifth annual game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN2 and kickoff at 2 p.m. (EST) on Saturday, January 25 at the Florida Citrus Bowl Stadium in Orlando.

Hybl, the most valuable player in OU's 34-14 Rose Bowl victory, and Savage, who had more receiving yards than any other player in Sooner history, will play on the Team USA Roster. Hybl is one of three quarterbacks on the roster with Wisconsin's Brooks Bollinger and Grand Valley State's Curt Anes.

More than 100 players that make up the two teams in the Team Florida versus Team USA format.

Team Florida features Associated Press Player of the Year Brad Banks of Iowa.

"A new level of excitement is being generated by the increased talent we have on the rosters this year," said Florida Citrus Sports Executive Director Tom Mickle. "The increased talent is a testament to the diligent effort put forth by our Rotary Gridiron Classic staff. Director Matthew Sign, Anthony Azama and their staff have produced what will be a terrific game and week for all of its participants."

Ticket prices to the game start at $25.00 for general admission seating, while reserved seats are $38.00. Tickets can be purchased at any Ticketmaster of Florida outlet, by phone at 407.839.9000 and online at www.ticketmaster.com.

The Rotary Gridiron Classic College All-Star Game is one of six signature events produced by Florida Citrus Sports annually. The game brings college all-stars from across the nation to Orlando, Fla., each January. Proceeds from the game benefit the Rotary Foundation and the Miami Project's national fundraising arm, the Buoniconti Fund to Cure Spinal Cord Paralysis. Over the last four years, the game has generated nearly $1 million for the Buoniconti project.

Another Oklahoma player will likely be on hand for the game. The Football Writers Assocation of America will honor its All-America team in conjunction with the game. OU's Teddy Lehman was voted to that squad.
