Sooners On Upcoming Sports Illustrated Cover

Norman, Okla. - Sports Illustrated features Oklahoma in its preseason edition due out later this week. OU is the No. 1 team in the nation and the Sooners grace the cover in the person of Tommie Harris.

It's the fifth Sports Illustrated cover for Oklahoma during Bob Stoops' three-plus seasons in Norman. Quentin Griffin has been on SI twice, Josh Heupel once and Jimmy Wilkerson once.

Harris is shown in an ominous pose with the headline, "So Good It's Scary, Mega-tackle Tommie Harris leads Oklahoma's daunting defense."

OU was followed in this year's SI top 10 by Miami, Tennessee, Texas, Florida State, Colorado, Washington State, Florida, Oregon and Georgia.
