Norman, Okla. - Jason White fired a pair of touchdown passes, Kejuan Jones rushed for another and, for the second straight scrimmage, the defense managed a score, when Oklahoma held its final preseason scrimmage Tuesday at Memorial Stadium. A crowd estimated at 4,000 witnessed the action.

Despite that, OU head coach Bob Stoops said he continues to look for more improvement.

"We're still rusty in a lot of areas," he said. "We need to push through this week and improve some things. I think we can do that. I thought there were some positives and negatives which happens every time you scrimmage. We've just got to polish up."

White, named the starter on Monday, completed 21-of-27 passes for 247 yards and two touchdowns.

"He just needs to get snaps," said Stoops. "We need to get him out there as much as we can and give him a sense of rhythm. It takes a while. We've got a good number of practices to get him in tune."

White tossed a 10-yard scoring pass to Curtis Fagan and hooked up with Lance Donley on a four-yard TD. Antwone Savage led the OU receivers with six grabs for 79 yards. Trent Smith had four for 63.

The top rusher was Larry Pinson with seven carries for 50 yards. Kejuan Jones was impressive again with seven rushes for 39 yards. Jones had a sparkling 20-yard burst for a touchdown.

"Kejuan was very impressive," Stoops said. "He runs hard and makes big plays."

Linebackers Teddy Lehman, Gayron Allen and Wayne Chambers were the top tacklers with seven each. Allen also had a 89-yard fumble return.

The Sooners got a scare late in the scrimmage when defensive tackle Kory Klein went down with an injury. The early diagnosis was a bruised thigh.
