Women's Golf Looks To Finish Strong At NCAA Championships

NORMAN, Okla. - The Oklahoma women's golf team is tied for ninth place going into the final round of the NCAA Championships at the Washington National Golf Club in Auburn, Wash. The Sooners are 15 strokes behind tournament leader Arizona. Duke's Virada Nirapathpongporn has led all three rounds of the tournament thus far.
Senior Jennifer Tannehill carded a one-over par 73 for the day. Tannehill, who is in 12th place, improved on her season-low three-round score by eight strokes. Sophomore Lisa Meldrum is in 23rd place after turning in a third-round score of 75, while senior Wendy Martin shot a 224, her second-lowest three-round score of the year, and is in 47th place. Junior Allison Johnson is in 82nd place after shooting an 83 and sophomore Hope Edge carded a 79 for the day.
Oklahoma will conclude the fourth and final round Sunday with tee times beginning at 12:20 p.m. PST on the 10th tee. - OU -
