Norman, Okla. - Oklahoma's football team scrimmaged for the first time this spring, Wednesday, and Sooner head coach Bob Stoops liked what he saw.
The last 40 minutes of the two and one-half hour workout were reserved for the scrimmage. Stoops said he is particularly impressed with the progress of the offensive line and the team's rushing attack.
"I couldn't be more pleased," he said. "I really like our aggressiveness and I really like the play of our offensive line and the way they're coming off the ball. The things we're doing with our run game are going to be a big help to us."
Quarterback Jason White participated in all of the practice, except the scrimmage. He won't be cleared for all drills until after the spring practices have been concluded.
"Jason looks great," said Stoops. "He could probably be full go right now, but we're just not going to do that. He intentionally lost some weight during the off-season. I think he'll be able to run even better than he has before."
OU will go through a lighter workout Thursday before going through a full scrimmage, Friday at 4 p.m., in Memorial Stadium.
