LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech completed a three-game sweep of the Oklahoma baseball team with a 10-5 win on Sunday in front of 4,244 at Dan Law Field. The Red Raiders stormed out to a 4-0 lead and although OU battled to get back into the game, Tech held on for its third win in the series. Down 6-4 in the eighth inning, the Sooners had runners on both second and third with just one out, but weren't able to bring anyone home. The last time OU was swept in a three-game weekend series was against arch-rival Oklahoma State a year ago (May 11-13, 2001). Oklahoma is now 24-10 on the season and 8-10 in Big 12 play, while Texas Tech improves to 34-16 (13-11 Big 12).

Austin Mix (4-5) was handed the loss for OU, going three innings and a third, allowing five runs -- three earned -- on five hits and striking out one. Curtis White pitched in relief of Mix and allowed one run on four hits over two innings and a third of work. Jarod McAuliff faced two batters and recorded a key out in the sixth frame and Evan Greusel made his 76th appearance as a Sooner, just two shy of Rocky Cherry's school record in that category.

Texas Tech led off the scoring with an unearned run off of Mix in the second inning and added another three tallies -- on five hits -- in the third to make it 4-0.

Oklahoma had a big fourth inning, scoring three runs on three hits to make the score 4-3, Texas Tech. The inning started with Jason Fransz being hit by a pitch for the second time in as many at bats versus Tech starter Dusty Buck. Luke Alexander then singled to move Fransz to third and Ryan Richardson hit an RBI single to score Fransz. After a base hit by Jakubauskas to load the bases, Matt Bose was hit by a pitch, advancing in a run. Brandon Jones then grounded out to score Richardson.

The Red Raiders scored another unearned run in the fourth and plated a run once more in the fifth to take a 6-3 lead. In the seventh, Alexander ripped an RBI single to right to bring the Sooners within two. Greg Kish saved a Tech run when his strike from right field nailed Jake Brown at the plate and in the top of the eighth, Jakubauskas walked and Matt Fisher's double to left put men on second and third with just one out. However, Tech reliever Steve Rowe got out of the jam unscathed. TTU added four insurance runs in the eighth to take a 10-4 lead. In the ninth, Richardson tripled to score Fransz, but that was all the Sooners could muster.

Texas Tech shortstop Gera Alvarez saw his school-record 30-game hitting streak come to an end in the game, despite driving in two runs.

Oklahoma resumes action on Tuesday and Wednesday as McNeese State visits Norman for 7 p.m. and 3 p.m. contests at L. Dale Mitchell Park. The Sooners then host Kansas State in a three-game set next weekend. Game times are set for 7 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday, and 1 p.m. on Sunday.

MEDICAL UPDATE ON OKLAHOMA PITCHER MARK ROBERTS: Sophomore pitcher Mark Roberts is out indefinitely after injuring a blood vessel in his neck on Saturday. Roberts was hit with a line drive in the sixth inning of the first game of a Saturday doubleheader and was taken to a Lubbock hospital. Roberts is expected to be released Sunday and will return to Oklahoma for follow-up tests and evaluation by OU's team physicians.
