Women's Golf Team in Third Place at the Wahine Invitational

NORMAN, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma women's golf team sits in third place with a score of 619 at the Dr. Thompson Wahine Invitational in Kaneohe, Hawaii. Tournament action began Monday with a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start at the Klipper Golf Course. The Sooners trail defending tournament champion No. 5 Oklahoma State by 10 strokes and No. 6 Tennessee by four strokes.
Senior Jennifer Tannehill leads the Sooner team for the first time this season in fifth place with a score of 153. Trailing Tannehill by one stroke is sophomore Lisa Meldrum in eight place with a score of 154 and Junior Allison Johnson is in 15th place with a score of 157. Tied with Johnson for 15th place and competing as an individual is senior Wendy Martin. Freshman Emily Milberger shot a 160 and is tied for 25th, while sophomore Hope Edge is in 30th place with a score of 161.
The Sooner's will conclude play at the Dr. Thompson Wahine Invitational today with a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m. AST.
