Women's Golf Team In Third Place Going Into Last Round of the Bruin Classic

NORMAN, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma women's golf team is in third place going into the final round of the Pioneer Electronic Bruin Classic in Menifee, Calif. OU trails defending tournament champion No. 20 Pepperdine by six strokes with 18 holes left to play. The 27th ranked Sooners fired rounds of 303 and 297 at the par-72 Menifee Lakes Country Club.
Junior Allison Johnson and sophomore Lisa Meldrum are three strokes off the lead in fourth place with scores of 146. Sophomore individual competitor Hope Edge is in 18th place with a score of 151, while senior Jennifer Tannehill trails her by one stroke in 27th place. Freshman Emily Milberger carded a score of 154 and is in 37th place with senior Wendy Martin currently in 50th place with a score of 156.
Oklahoma will conclude tournament action at the 2002 Pioneer Electronics Bruin Classic in Temecula, Calif., tomorrow with the final round beginning at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start.
