Women's Golf Team Places Fifth At The Central District Invitational

NORMAN, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma women's golf team placed fifth at the Central District Invitational in Parrish, Fla., at the River Wilderness Country Club. The 29th-ranked Sooners finished the tournament with a score of 904. Claiming the tournament title by 11 strokes was No. 13 Michigan State.
Junior Allison Johnson placed 15th with a score of 225 and trailing her by one stroke was sophomore Lisa Meldrum in 19th place. Senior Wendy Martin finished in 23rd place with a 227. Freshman Emily Milberger placed 35th with a score of 231 and senior Jennifer Tannehill carded a 236 to place 57th.
The Sooners next action will be the "Mo" Morial tournament in Bryan, Texas, on March 4-5.
