Men's Tennis Travels To Texas-Arlington

NORMAN, Okla. - The Oklahoma men's tennis team will be in action this weekend at the University of Texas-Arlington. OU will take on Texas-Arlington on Friday, Feb. 22. at 1 p.m. The Sooners return to action on Saturday, Feb 23, against Lamar at 10 a.m. Both matches will be played at the UTA Tennis Center in Arlington, Texas.

Oklahoma is 4-1 on the season, with wins over Oklahoma Science & Arts (twice), Southwest Missouri State and Northern Iowa. The Sooners' only loss of the year came on the road against then-No. 62 New Mexico in Albuquerque on Feb. 5.

UTA is ranked No. 73 nationally and have the nation's fifth-ranked player in Andy Leber. The Mavericks are 2-3 on the season, with wins over St. Louis and Louisiana Lafayette, and losses to Arkansas, No. 29 TCU and No. 71 Arkansas-Little Rock.

Lamar is 2-7 on the season, with wins over Texas Southern and Alcorn State, and losses to Ouachita Baptist, Arkansas-Little Rock, Louisiana Lafayette, Texas-Pan American, Tennessee Tech, Troy State and Louisiana Monroe.

Oklahoma returns home on Friday, March 1, against Oral Roberts at 1:30 p.m. This will be the Sooners first match at the newly constructed OU Headington Family Tennis Center located at Chatauqua and Imhoff.
