Los Angeles, Calif. - Oklahoma's football team enjoyed a full day of activity on Sunday. In the morning, some of the Sooners visited the City of Hope Medical Center and participated in Rose Bowl Media Day before going through a two-hour practice in the afternoon.
The City of Hope visit included visits with cancer patients undergoing treatment at the facility. That stop lasted more than an hour before the entire team was taken to the Rose Bowl for its first look at the stadium that will house the New Year's Day game.
OU participated in the customary media day before posing for its team picture in front of the famous Rose Bowl sign on the south end of the stadium.
From there the team returned to its practice facility at Loyola Marymount University for a two-hour practice. OU head coach Bob Stoops was pleased with the Sooners' work and said that all of the players participated in the workout.
On Sunday night, some of the team attended a private screening of "Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers" at the Sony studios.
Oklahoma will return to the practice field Monday at 1:45 p.m. All remaining OU practices are closed.
