NORMAN, Okla. - The Oklahoma volleyball team continues Big 12 play Saturday when they take on Texas Tech at 7 p.m. inside the Howard McCasland Field House. The Lady Raiders (10-16, 4-9 Big 12) are currently in eighth place in the Big 12, one spot above OU (5-17, 3-11 Big 12).

"Texas Tech is very good defensively and serving," said OU Head Coach Kalani Mahi. "They try to put pressure on their opponents by serving aggressively. They have been inconsistent this year but when their game plan is effective they can force you into a predictable offense."

OU snapped a nine match losing streak Wednesday by beating Iowa State in five games. The victory marked Oklahoma's first road victory since 2000.

Junior outside hitter Christina Barlow (11 kills and 13 digs) and senior Jessica Barney (51 assists and 14 digs) recorded double-doubles against the Cyclones.

OU was swept at Texas Tech on Oct. 23, 30-20, 30-20, 30-18. Oklahoma fell prey to Tech's attack as they only registered four block assists and committed 12 service reception errors in the first match up.

Middle blocker Candice Woods has heated up again, recording 10 plus kills in three of the last four matches, including 16 against Iowa State. She is now averaging 2.55 kills per game and 0.89 blocks per game. For the first time since the beginning of conference action, OU has four attackers averaging over two kills per game. Barlow leads the way at 2.98, just barely ahead of senior outside hitter Megan O'Connell at 2.96. Freshman Jennifer Mosso is the newest member in the group, thanks to 15 kills against Iowa State she is now averaging 2.05 kills per game.

Senior setter Jessica Barney has upped her assists per game to 9.87, thanks to recent hot streak.

The first 200 hundred fans in attendance to Saturday's match will receive free OU foam noodles. Admission to the match is $5 for adults and $2 for children. OU students with a valid student I.D. will be admitted free.

The match will be broadcast live on soonersports.com. To view the live video feed, click on the "Streaming Match Video" link on the right side of the volleyball home page.
