OU Women's Golf In Third Place At Edwin Watts/Palmetto Intercollegiate

NORMAN, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma women's golf team played 27 holes at the Edwin Watts/Palmetto Intercollegiate in Kiawah Island, S.C. The Sooners shot a 299 in the first round and have a 150 after nine holes of the second round for a total of 449. The Sooners are in third place and trail the tournament leader, Kansas State, by nine strokes.
The 17-team field is playing at the 5,873-yard, par-72 Oak Point Golf Course.
Junior Hope Edge is in third place after recording a 107, just 3 strokes behind tournament leader Rachel Lester. Junior Lisa Meldrum is tied for fifth place with a total of 109 while senior Allison Johnson shot a 114 and is tied for 21st place. Sophomore Emily Milberger carded a 120 and is tied for 44th place and freshman Cathryn Uselton recorded a 122 and is tied for 56th place.
Oklahoma will conclude the tournament Tuesday with the final nine holes of the second round and the complete third round.
