Senior Defensive Back Andre Woolfolk
On the defense's performance:
"We always expect to play well in big games. That's just what we do around here."
On the week of preparation:
"We had a good week of preparation. We got out there and set the tone that we were going to fly around to the ball and make sure that we gang tackled anyone who caught the ball.
On playing Texas Tech:
"It's never easy to face an offense that's going to throw the ball around 60 times a game. They're going to get some here and there and they did. For the most part I think we did a good job in shutting them down."
Senior Quarterback Nate Hybl
On the game:
"We knew this was going to be a tough game and luckily we played one of our better all-around games of the year."
On Oklahoma's defense:
"They we outstanding. This game was reminiscent of the Iowa State game. You can't say enough about our defensive coaches. They had them read tonight. A few times we rushed only two or three guys and for our defensive backs to stay on their men that long was impressive. Kingsbury is an awesome player but he ran into an awesome defense tonight."
On Oklahoma's offensive play:
"Quentin, coupled with our offensive line, has been the biggest difference from this year to last. Our ability to run the ball is paramount. I can't stress enough how much easier it is for me and for Coach Long as far as play calling goes."
Senior Tight End Trent Smith
On playing Oklahoma State:
"That's a team that embarrassed us last year. They won the game and we're not going to make any excuses about it. But that shouldn't happen and I'll talk more about it on Tuesday."
On Quentin Griffin:
"I don't think what he dos is legal anywhere but between those white lines. He's a special player. He's absolutely breathtaking at times. I couldn't be happier for a guy getting the recognition that he gets."
On Oklahoma's defense:
"Don't challenge those guys. They're going to get you. They let their guard down a couple of weeks ago and weren't playing up to their potential. They knew that. They're a special group of guys over there. Their desire and will to succeed is amazing."
Senior Running Back Quentin Griffin
On the defense:
"They were awesome. They shut down Kliff Kingsbury who is a great quarterback. I can't put into words how good of a job they did containing him. I was glad I didn't have to play defense against him."
On playing his last game at Owen Field:
"To play well in my last game at Owen Field is a really great feeling. It was nice that it was on national television because all of my family was able to watch. It was just a really special day."
On his 62-yard TD run:
"I just tried to get past that first hit. After that I don't know what happened. I know one of my receivers gave me a great downfield block. The next thing you know -- I'm in the end zone."
Junior Linebacker Teddy Lehman
On the defensive keys against Tech:
"I thought we really matched up well with Texas Tech. We have great defensive backs. When we are on and have coverage like today, we'll get plenty of sacks. Our goal was to make them predictable so we could come after them with everything."
Junior Defensive End Jimmy Wilkerson
On his sack and safety in the first quarter:
"Kingsbury had a really long time, but our DBs did an excellent job. He kept checking off and didn't know who to throw to. All day I was trying to beat my man inside and out. On the sack for a safety, I beat him outside and got around my man. Kingsbury was there and I tackled him by his ankle."
