Sooners will try to snap two game losing streak against defending Big 12 champ.

NORMAN, Okla. - In Oklahoma (5-19, 3-13 Big 12) volleyball's last two Big 12 contests it was swept by Texas Tech and Texas at home. The Sooner head to Lincoln, Neb. hoping to pull off a major upset as they face the No. 4 ranked and defending Big 12 champion Nebraska Cornhuskers (23-1, 15-0 Big 12). The match will get under way Saturday at 7 p.m., inside the N.U. Coliseum.

"Last year we went up to Lincoln and took an early lead on the Huskers, " said OU Head Coach Kalani Mahi. "We were able to take the crowd out of it and do some positive things. They're a great team with a lot of talent, but our game plan doesn't change. We have to execute our game and play offensive volleyball."

OU was swept by Nebraska 30-14, 30-16, 30-19, when it faced the Huskers in Norman, Oct. 16.

Freshman Jennifer Adams had 10 kills in the first meeting, but is unlikely to play this weekend because of a thumb injury.

Laura Pilakowski led the Huskers with 16 kills and 10 digs in the first meeting. Jennifer Saleaumua contributed 13 kills.

A good sign for OU is that senior Megan O'Connell has recorded double-digit kills in the last three matches. In the prior six matches she had one double-digit match.

Nebraska is riding a 65 match Big 12 winning streak going into Saturday's contest.

OU returns to the Howard McCasland Field House on Nov. 23, for its home season finale against Colorado at 2 p.m. Admission is free for all fans as part of "Super Sooner Saturday".
