NORMAN, Okla. - The 2002 Oklahoma men's gymnastics team will be presented with its national championship rings at halftime of Saturday's OU-Colorado football game. Director of Athletics Joe Castiglione will present the rings to Head Coach Mark Williams and his squad in a special halftime ceremony.

"We're are very excited to get our rings in front of 75,000 Sooner fans," said Williams. "This culminates everything we accomplished last year. While we are excited about the results of 2002, we are ready to go out and pursue another one this season."

In 2002 the Sooners went 28-1, finishing the season at home in the Lloyd Noble Center with the national title. All-Americans Shannon Carrion, Daniel Furney, David Henderson, Quinn Rowell and Jock Stevens lead the 2003 squad that is again a favorite for the national crown.
