Freshman kicker Trey DiCarlo (Carrollton, Texas) forced the first fumble of his career with a jarring hit of CU's Roderick Sneed in the first quarter.

Brandon Everage's 64-yard interception return in the second quarter (his fifth of the season) marked the second longest by a Sooner against Colorado in the 53-game series. Randy Hughes returned an interception 96 yards for a score against the Buffaloes in 1973.
Mark Clayton's 17-yard touchdown reception from Nate Hybl in the second quarter was his third of the season and sixth of his career. Senior Andre Woolfolk (Denver, Colo.) blocked the third field goal attempt of his career and his second this season late in the second quarter. Woolfolk blocked a kick against Alabama on Sept. 7 and blocked one against Texas in 2001.
