OU Women's Golf Team In 10th Place At Price's Give Em Five Intercollegiate

NORMAN, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma women's golf team shot a 314 Monday and is in 10th place after first-round action at the Price's Give Em Five Intercollegiate tournament in Las Cruces, N.M. The Sooners trail first-place New Mexico by 15 strokes. The 20-team field is playing at the 6,303-yard, par-72 University Golf Course.

Junior Lisa Meldrum continues to lead the Sooners and is tied for fourth place with a 74, just two strokes behind New Mexico leader Kellyn Newman. Junior Hope Edge is tied for 36th after carding a 79. Sophomore Emily Milberger is tied for 48th after a round of 80 while Senior Allison Johnson recorded an 81 and is tied for 61st place. Freshman Erin Goranson is tied for 73rd place after a score of 83 in her first collegiate action.

The Sooners will resume play at 7:30 a.m. (MST) Tuesday and the tournament will conclude on Wednesday.
