Donations To Be Accepted At OU-Kansas State Game

NORMAN, Okla. - Fans interested in contributing to ongoing relief efforts will have that opportunity at Saturday's Oklahoma-Kansas State football game.

Students from OU's ROTC programs will be moving throughout Memorial Stadium during the first half, accepting donations to benefit the United Way. The students will carry boxes that state, "Sooner Help for Victims and Families." The boxes also will be adorned with an American flag.

Checks will be accepted as part of the fund-raiser and should be made out to the United Way, which will be responsible, in coordination with the University of Oklahoma, for dispersing the donations to agencies participating in the relief efforts.

The money raised is part of the Big 12 Conference's $1 million commitment to help victim's of the nation's recent tragedy.
