NORMAN, Okla. - Oklahoma and Tulsa have rescheduled their football game for Saturday, Nov. 3 in Norman. The two were to have played last Saturday, but the game was postponed along with all other NCAA Division I-A games following the tragedies that occured last week.

Oklahoma previously was not scheduled to play Nov. 3. Tulsa moved its Nov. 3 Western Athletic Conference game against Louisiana Tech to Nov. 24 to accomodate its game with OU.

"We were exploring all our options, but maintaining the original teams on our schedule with an altered date was our first priority," said OU Athletics Director Joe Castiglione. "The Tulsa game is good for our institutions and for our state so we are pleased that we were able to move it to the new date.

"The spirit of cooperation between everyone involved was very encouraging and we are certainly grateful for the willingness shown by the schools and league offices in making this game possible."

OU and Tulsa will kickoff at 2 p.m. Tickets that were sold for the originally scheduled game will be honored.

Oklahoma is idle this week. The Sooners return to action Sept. 29 when they host Kansas State.
