Oklahoma became the first non-conference team in 11 tries to defeat a Fisher DeBerry-led Air Force team in its home opener. The Sooners also ended the Falcons' streak of six consecutive wins on opening day.
OU's defense has recorded an interception in 15 of the last 16 games dating back to 1999 and at least one turnover in 25 of the last 27 games, including the last 16 in a row. During that stretch, the Sooners have racked up 26 interceptions and 130 pass deflections.

Senior defensive end Cory Heinecke recovered a Chance Harridge fumble with under two minutes left in the game and returned it 69 yards for his first career touchdown.
Junior Andre Woolfolk saw action in 62 plays on the field today, including 31 with the offense, 17 on defense and 14 on special teams.
