5,000 Tickets To Go On Sale For OU-Air Force Game

NORMAN, Okla. - University of Oklahoma fans will have the opportunity to purchase tickets to the Sooners' first road contest of the 2001 football season. The Air Force Academy ticket office will release nearly 5,000 tickets for the September 1 contest in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Tickets are $25 and will go on sale through the Air Force ticket office on Tuesday, July 3. They can be purchased by calling 800-666-8723. Due to the high demand for the tickets, Air Force officials encourage fans to be patient while trying to purchase tickets over the telephone.

The 2000 defending national champions will face the Falcons at 2:30 p.m. CST. The game will be regionally televised on ABC.
