NORMAN, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma football team will begin defense of its national championship on national television Aug. 25 when it hosts North Carolina on ESPN in the Hispanic College Fund Football Classic and, today, Fox Sports Net and the Big 12 Conference announced that the Sooners' final regular season contest against rival Oklahoma State Nov. 24 will be televised by Fox Sports Net.
The Big 12, Fox Sports Net and Big 12-Fox regional syndicators have also revealed their first seven telecasts for the 2001 season. Besides the OU-Oklahoma State national telecast on Nov. 24, the remainder of the regionally syndicated and prime time Fox Sports Net slate will be announced via six- or 12-day advance notification.
