Oklahoma Women's Golf Team Finishes First Round Action

NORMAN, Okla. -- The Oklahoma women's golf team concluded first round action at the NCAA Central Regional in 11th place. The sixth-seeded Sooners finished the day with a score of 314 at the Kampen Course in West Lafayette, Ind.

Freshman Lisa Meldrum led Oklahoma with a score of 77. Three Sooners, juniors Wendy Martin and Jennifer Tannehill and redshirt-freshman Hope Edge, are currently tied with indentical scores of 79. Sophomore Allison Johnson carded a score of 81 after the first 18 holes.

OU will tee-off at 11:50a.m. for second round action Friday followed by a 7:30 a.m. tee time on Saturday.
