NORMAN, Okla. - Fans not able to attend Saturday's University of Oklahoma Red-White football scrimmage will have the opportunity to listen on the radio or view on television as Sooner Sports Properties announced air plans for the event.
The Memorial Stadium scrimmage, which will mark the final spring outing for the defending national champions, will start at 2:15 p.m. and will air across the Sooner Radio Network. Bob Barry Sr. and Merv Johnson will handle the 2 p.m. radio broadcast, which can be heard in Oklahoma City on KOMA 1520 AM and KRXO 107.7 FM and in Tulsa on KVOO 1170 AM. The radio broadcast will also be available live on www.soonersports.com, OU's official athletic Web site.
The Red-White Game will also be shown Saturday on a tape-delayed basis at 7 p.m. on the Sooner Sports Network. Dean Blevins and legendary OU coach Barry Switzer will call the action. The Sooner Sports Network consists of stations in Oklahoma City (KSBI channel 52, cable channel 9), Tulsa (KWBT channel 19), Lawton (KSWO channel 7) and Woodward (KOMI channel 24).
Tickets for the scrimmage cost $5 for adults and $2 for children 12 and under. OU students who present a valid I.D. will also be admitted for $2. Tickets may be purchased at the OU Ticket Office beginning at noon and fans will be allowed to enter the stadium through gates 1 and 44 only.
