Finally ... Another Home Meet
Both the men and women's sqaud will be in action at the Lloyd Noble Center for only the second time this season on Saturday.
Just like the home opener, both squads will be competing at the same time, starting at 7 p.m.
Scouting The Buckeyes
The women dual with No. 13 Ohio State (12-2). The Buckeyes are coming off a dominating victory over N.C. State and Central Michigan at the Wolfpack Invitational last Sunday in Raleigh, N.C. The team scored a 195.425, ninth-best in school history. Ohio State is lead by Lindsey Vagedes, whose sixth nationally in the all-around with a 39.340 average.
Tri-Meet Clash
The top-ranked men's team compete against two top 20 teams in No. 4 Ohio State and No. 12 Stanford.
The Buckeyes won a dual meet at U.C.-Santa Barbara last Friday to improve to 11-3. Ohio State is the nation's No. 1 team on vault (36.425) and the horizontal bar (36.100). It also has the country's second-ranked all-arounder, Jamie Natalie (53.312).
Despite its ranking, Stanford is 1-5 so far this season. The Cardinal competed with OU last weekend at the Southwestern Cup in Tempe, Ariz., finishing fourth.

OU Women Win Corvette Cup
The Sooner women (13-4) defeated three schools Sunday at the Univesity of Missouri's Lanthrop and Gage Corvette Cup in Columbia.
Oklahoma tallied a 195.075, upending Bowling Green (194.825), Missouri (193.075).
OU notched individual victories on the uneven parallel bars and the balance beam. Sophomore Leticia Ishii and fresman Carla DeMartini tied for first on the uneven parallel bars (9.850) while freshman Kasie Tamayo tied for first on the balance beam (9.900) to claim her second consecutive beam title and third overall on the season. OU defeated Big 12 rival Missouri for the second consecutive week.
Top-Ranked Men Roll On, Take Southwest Cup
The No. 1-ranked men's team (10-1) continued its march toward its first national title in ten years when it won the Southwest Cup Saturday in Tempe, Ariz.
The men totaled a 215.250 and beat No. 5 Michigan State, defending national champion Penn State, Stanford, Arizona State's club team and the Mexican National Team.
The Sooners had three individual winners-sophomore Brett Covey (still rings, 9.70), junior Everette Bierker (parallel bars and senior Steve Van Etten (horizontal bar, 9.40)-and took five of the six team events. Covey's victory was his fourth straight on rings.
Big 12 Championships
For the first time since 1997, the University of Oklahoma will be hosting the Big 12 Women's Gymnastics Championships.
The event will take place March 24, 2001, at Lloyd Noble Center in Norman, Okla. The Lloyd Noble Center is located at the southwest corner of the Imhoff Rd. and Jenkins Ave. intersection, just north of Highway 9.
Four teams - Iowa State, Missouri, Nebraska and Oklahoma - will compete in the championships. Iowa State won the conference crown last year in Ames, Iowa.
