Men's Assistant Guard Young To Represent United States At The ITC

NORMAN, Okla. -- University of Oklahoma men's assisant gymnastics coach Guard Young will represent the United States at the 2001 International Team Championships at Honolulu, Hawaii, March 30.

Young, who finished 10th at last year's Olympic trials, was also a member of the 2000 U.S. International Team Championship squad which finished second to Romania. This year, Young will join Olympians Pal and Morgan Hamm and Sean Townsend, as well as Brett McClure and Mike Dutka on the U.S. squad.

The United States will battle China, the reigning Olympic champion, and Romania for the ITC title. NBC will televise the event April 7 at 3 p.m. CST.
