NORMAN, Okla. -- The University of Oklahoma Athletic Ticket Office has announced today only 2,000 tickets remain for the opening rounds of the 2001 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament held this weekend at the Lloyd Noble Center in Norman.
Fans are encouraged to pre-purchase at the OU Ticket Office, located at the southwest corner of Oklahoma Memorial Stadium, or at the north entrance of the Lloyd Noble Center. All session tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students.
The games include Saturday's first-round matchups of Oklahoma vs. Oral Roberts, beginning at 6:30 p.m., and Stanford and George Washington, starting at 9:07 p.m. The winners will play at 8:37 p.m. on Monday.
The Oklahoma women's basketball team is in the midst of a record-breaking year with a No. 7 national-ranking, a Big 12 regular-season title and a record of 26-5. The Sooners, winners of 17 of their last 18 games, have already set the mark for wins in a season.
