San Diego, Calif. - Leading 8-6 heading into the top of the ninth inning, Oregon State scored four runs to come from behind and defeat Oklahoma Sunday afternoon at the San Diego Baseball Classic. Errors plagued the Sooners (2-7) for the second-straight game as the OU defense committed seven in the game. OSU improved to 4-3 overall, including a perfect 4-0 through the four-day tournament, while OU's losing streak extended to six games.

Matt Sorensen (0-2), who surrendered the winning Beaver runs in the ninth inning, suffered the loss for the Sooners. Only one of the four deciding runs was earned as two Oklahoma errors in the frame led to three unearned runs.

Designated hitter Sean Smith capped off a 2-for-4 performance with his first career home run in the seventh inning. The shot scored three runs and gave the Sooners a brief two run-lead over the Beavers. Junior rightfielder Zach Harris led OU offensively with a 3-for-5 day at the plate with two runs scored and a RBI.

Sophomore Austin Mix, OU's starting pitcher, threw six complete innings and gave up only three earned runs on nine hits, while striking out five.

OU looks to end its losing skid as it travels Tuesday to Ft. Worth, Texas, to face TCU at 2 p.m.
