NORMAN, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma volleyball team (2-26, 1-14 Big 12) plays host to No. 14 Texas A&M (19-4, 12-3 Big 12) tonight at the Howard McCasland Field House. Match time is set for 7 p.m.
Texas A&M leads the all-time series with OU, 23-1, dating back to 1974. The Sooners' lone win over the Aggies was on Sept. 15, 1979, in Denton, Texas. Texas A&M won the first match of the season series, 3-0, on Oct. 31 in College Station, Texas.
Sophomore Logan Pierce leads Oklahoma with 3.18 kills and 2.47 digs per game, while freshman Candice Woods holds a team-high .201 hitting percentage. Woods also averages a team-best 0.80 blocks per game.
The Aggies are led by Erin Lechler, who averages 3.67 kills per game, and Michelle Cole, who averages 4.28 digs per game. Melissa Munsch leads Texas A&M at the net with 0.97 blocks per game. Setter Jenna Mosovic holds a team-best .337 hitting percentage.
The Sooners are next in action against No. 2 Nebraska on Wednesday, Nov. 14, at the Howard McCasland Field House. Match time with the defending national champions is set for 7 p.m.
