NORMAN, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma volleyball team (2-13, 1-4 Big 12) fell to No. 2 Nebraska (13-1, 4-0 Big 12) in three games by scores of 30-21, 30-24 and 30-16 in front of a recording-breaking crowd of 8,976 at the Devaney Center. This was the largest crowd in Division 1 volleyball this season.
In game two, the Sooners cut Nebraska's lead to one with two kills from junior Denise Griffin and one from freshman Candice Woods, but the Huskers answered back with two kills to bring the score to 19-16.
Junior Denise Griffin led the Sooners with 13 kills followed by sophomore Logan Pierce with 11. Griffin and Pierce paced Oklahoma with 10 digs each.
The Sooners return to action on Wednesday, Oct. 10, at Baylor. Match time is set for 7 p.m.
