National Championship Celebration Set For Sunday

NORMAN, Okla. - The Pride of Oklahoma marching band, Sooner Schooner, OU spirit squads and the Ruf-Neks will set the stage for a public celebration honoring the National Championship University of Oklahoma Sooners football team. OU President David L. Boren will preside over the celebration, which is set for 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 21, in Oklahoma Memorial Stadium.

OU students, faculty, staff, alumni, friends and fans are invited to participate in the festivities.

Also speaking will be Athletic Director Joe Castiglione, Head Football Coach Bob Stoops, members of the football team and Chairman of the OU Board of Regents, C.S. Lewis III, among others. A special video presentation of team highlights on SoonerVision will add to the celebration.
