Sooner Caravan Concludes August 4 in Oklahoma City

NORMAN, Okla. - The Sooner Caravan will complete its touring season August 4 in Oklahoma City and fans are invited to come help kick off the 2000 OU football season.

The Caravan has attended 13 cities across Oklahoma, Texas and Kansas over the past three months and will conclude with a barbecue dinner and dance at the Oklahoma State Fairgrounds as OU coaches and administrators will be on hand. Fans are invited to come to hear Head Football Coach Bob Stoops speak on the upcoming season and then meet all of the assistants on his staff.

The reception will begin at 6 p.m. at the "Made in Oklahoma" Building at the Fairgrounds. Dinner will begin at 7 p.m. and an auction of Sooner memorabilia will take place before the coaches and staff address OU fans. A country style dance will then help conclude the night's activities. Tickets cost $20 per person in advance and $25 at the door. Tickets for children under 12 are only $10.
