OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - Oklahoma survived a 16-hit Oral Roberts attack to claim a 9-7 victory at the Southwestern Bell Bricktown Ball Park Saturday Night and advance to the championship round of the NCAA Baseball Regionals.

The Sooners 41-22, take on top-seeded and unbeaten UCLA Sunday at 11 a.m. An OU win and the same two teams will battle at 3 p.m. for the right to advance to the Super Regional next weekend.

Oklahoma took an early lead, scoring six times in the second inning and three more times in the fourth, then held on against ORU's high-powered offensive attack.

Michael Bradbury (4-2) pitched the first five innings for the win, giving up five runs, three of them earned, and eight hits. He struck out three and walked one. Austin Coose pitched through the eighth and Jeff Bajenaru preserved the win by retiring the Golden Eagles in the ninth. The save by Bajenaru was his 20th of the season.

ORU starter Trevor Leu (6-3) was chased after just one and a third innings. He was followed to the mound by Riley Stephens, Andrew Sanderson and Stockton Davis. Davis, who entered with two outs in the fifth, held the Sooners hitless and scoreless. He struck out six and didn't walk a batter.

Oklahoma had only seven hits but made them count. The Sooners needed only four hits to score six times in the second: singles by Bajenaru, Sean Murphy and Jerome Godsey and a three-run double by Zach Lekse. In the fourth, the Sooners needed only two hits to score three times: a bunt single by Chad Cochell and a base hit by Murphy.

Jeff Stallings paced the ORU offense with three hits, while Steve Holm had a single and a double and knocked in three runs.

ORU finishes its season at 49-15.
