The Cornhuskers improve to 7-1 in Big 12 Tournament action. NU is now 25-31 in Big Eight/Big 12 Tournament action. Oklahoma falls to 9-6 in the Big 12 Tournament and 47-40 in Big Eight/ Big 12 Tournament play.
Nebraska pitcher Scott Fries moves to 5-0 on the season, throwing his first complete game of the season, and second of his career. Fries previous season high for innings pitched was 6.0 against Kansas.
Fries also had a season high in strikeouts with five strikeouts.
Through the first five innings Fries threw 49 pitches, 41 strikes and only eight balls.
