NCAA Baseball Regional Awarded To Oklahoma City

NORMAN, Okla. - The NCAA announced today that Oklahoma City has been awarded an NCAA Baseball Regional at Southwestern Bell Bricktown Ballpark. The University of Oklahoma and the Oklahoma RedHawks submitted the successful bid.

"We are very pleased to have been selected to host this regional," said OU athletic director Joe Castiglione. "I especially want to thank the RedHawks for their cooperation in this bid process and the use of one of the best facilities in the nation. Together, we're proud to be able to host the first NCAA regional in the Southwestern Bell Bricktown Ballpark."

The tournament will be played Friday, March 26 through Sunday, March 28. Games times are as follows:

Friday, May 26(1) 3:00 p.m.(2) 7:00 p.m.
Saturday, May 27(3)11:00 p.m.(4) 3:00 p.m.(5) 7:00 p.m.
Sunday, May 28(6)11:00 p.m.(7) 3:00 p.m.

All Session tickets for the NCAA Regional will go on sale Wednesday, May 17 at noon. Fans may purchase All Session tickets at Southwestern Bell Bricktown Ballpark or by calling OK Tickets at 948-6800. Individual tickets will go on sale the day of the game.

The teams in the Oklahoma City regional will be announced on Monday, May 22. The University of Oklahoma will play at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 26.
