Oklahoma Baseball Homerun Club To Host Golf Tournament

NORMAN, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma Baseball Homerun Club is hosting its 2000 Golf Tournament, Friday, May 5 at the OU Jimmie Austin Golf Course in Norman. The cost is $125 per person and includes green fees, cart, practice balls, lunch, a shirt, a bag tag and prizes.

In attendance will be former major league and current Oklahoma baseball players and coaches. The format for the tournament, which starts at 1 p.m., is a four- or five-person scramble. Registration will begin at 11:30 a.m., and a lunch will be served for all golfers at noon.

Prizes will be given to the first-, second- and third-place teams, as well as for the longest drive, closest to the hole and nearest to the line. For more information, call Elton Davis at (405) 321-3970. The event is limited to the first 120 players registered.
