COLUMBUS, Ohio - The University of Oklahoma women's gymnastics team, ranked ninth-nationally, team fell to Ohio State tonight, 195.350-195.225, in front of 1,200 fans in Columbus, Ohio. OU's season record dropped to 11-2 on the season, while OSU moved to 9-8.
OU senior Amber McCracken led the competition by claiming her sixth all-around title on the season with a score 39.350, while newcomer Patrica Aoki (39.050) and redshirt-freshman Leticia Ishii (38.775) followed for second and third-place all-around honors. McCracken finished first in two events by tying OSU's Mary Beth Doerr on the uneven parallel bars and tying Buckeye Jill Tucker on the vault with scores 9.900 on both events. This was McCracken's ninth vault and sixth bars title on the year. Aoki claimed her first balance beam win of the season with a 9.825.
