Oklahoma Softball To Open Home Season

NORMAN, Okla. - The No. 8 University of Oklahoma softball team will play its first home game of the 2000 season on Wednesday afternoon. Games are scheduled to begin at 3 and 5 p.m.

The Sooners own an 11-1 record going into Wednesday's doubleheader. Oklahoma reeled off 11 straight wins, tying the best start in school history, before losing to preseason No. 4 Arizona in Tucson this past weekend. OU defeated Arkansas once earlier this season in the championship game of the Texas-Arlingotn Isuzu Motors Invitational by a score of 5-3.
