Norman, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma announced tentative starting times for its 2000 football season. The Sooners kickoff their second season under head coach Bob Stoops on Sept. 2 when Texas-El Paso makes its first appearance ever inside Memorial Stadium.
UTEP posted a 5-7 overall record last season and will be under the direction of first-year head coach and former OU offensive coordinator Gary Nord.
OU's spring practice will begin on Monday, March 20, on the OU practice fields (weather permitting). Spring drills will end with the annual Red-White Game on Saturday, April 15. Ticket information can be obtained by calling (405) 325-2424 or (800) 456-4668.
