MADISON, Wis. (AP) - Coco Miller scored 20 points and sixth-ranked Georgia overcame foul trouble to beat No. 12 Oklahoma 94-70 in the opening game of the Coaches vs. Cancer Challenge Wednesday night.
Tawana McDonald had 16 points and 17 rebounds for Georgia (2-1), which advanced to Friday's championship game. The Bulldogs will face the winner of Wednesday's second game between No. 5 Notre Dame and No. 19 Wisconsin.
Nine players scored for Georgia in the first half, when two Bulldogs starters, Deanna Nolan and Kelly Miller, committed three fouls apiece.
Georgia jumped out to a 23-9 lead eight minutes into the game.
But Oklahoma (2-1) answered with a 19-5 spurt.
Despite its foul trouble, Georgia ended the half on an 11-2 run to take a 45-34 lead. Coco Miller's 3-pointer started the run, which included six Georgia free throws.
Nolan then scored eight points as Georgia built its lead to 20 points midway through the second half.
Nolan and reserve Christi Thomas added 11 points apiece for Georgia.
Georgia shot 45.3 percent (29-of-64) from the floor compared to 30.4 percent (21-of-69) by Oklahoma. Georgia was 33-of-44 from the free throw line, while Oklahoma made 26 of 32.
Stacey Dales scored 19 points and LaNeishea Caufield added 16 for Oklahoma, which will play Friday against the loser of the Notre Dame-Wisconsin game.
